International Greenkeepers For Hire (IGFH) is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Regional Committee Members. These members will work within their respective regions to promote greenkeeping and international opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of the greenkeeping community.

The Role and Responsibilities 

The position will initially be on a part-time hourly basis where funding is available with the potential to increase to full-time. 

Regional Promotion and Advocacy

  • Promote Greenkeeping Profession: Actively promote the greenkeeping profession within the region through events, social media, and partnerships with local organisations.
  • Representation: Represent IGFH at regional industry events, conferences, and tradeshows.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to IGFH’s regional content by writing articles, creating videos, and participating in podcasts.

Membership Engagement and Growth

  • Community Building: Engage with local greenkeepers, ground staff, and volunteers to build a strong, supportive community.
  • Networking: Facilitate networking opportunities for members within the region.
  • Feedback Collection: Collect and relay feedback from regional members to the central IGFH team to improve services and resources.

Education and Training

  • Educational Resources: Develop and share educational materials and resources tailored to the regional context.
  • Workshops and Webinars: Organise and conduct workshops, webinars, and training sessions for members.
  • Mentorship Programs: Establish and manage mentorship programs connecting experienced greenkeepers with newcomers.

Job Opportunities and Career Support

  • Local and International Job Opportunities: Identify and promote job opportunities within the region and for international greenkeepers looking to work locally.
  • Career Advice: Provide career advice and support to members, including guidance on resumes, interviews, and professional development.
  • Visa and Relocation Assistance: Offer advice on visa processes and help international greenkeepers find accommodation and settle into new roles within the region.

Specific Role: Job Opportunities and Relocation 

  • Job Opportunity Identification: Focus on finding and curating job opportunities for local and international members.
  • Visa and Legal Advice: Provide up-to-date information and advice on visa requirements and legal considerations for international members.
  • Accommodation Assistance: Assist members in finding suitable accommodation when relocating for work.
  • Regional Networking: Create a network of local contacts, including real estate agents, legal advisors, and community organisations, to support members in their relocation process.
  • Resource Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive guide with resources and contacts to assist members with relocation and settling into new roles.
