Senior Greenkeeper – Ingestre Golf Club
Description
Set in the grounds of Ingestre Hall, less than 6 miles from the centre of Stafford, lies Ingestre Park Golf Club.
Originally designed by F.W. Hawtree in 1978 and recently redesigned by Jon Hunt of International Design Group, the course has undergone redevelopment of 6 existing holes and the construction of 12 brand new holes which opened for play in May 2024.
The club are looking to improve the facilities at Ingestre Park and have plans to redevelop the clubhouse, Pro shop and construct a brand-new Green keeping facility, all to a very high standard.
The club are now looking to expand the Green keeping department and seek to recruit a Senior Greenkeeper.
The Senior Greenkeeper will form part of the management team and as such will be responsible for:

Assisting in the planning and execution of course maintenance and improvement plans.

Maintaining good communication lines with the management and greenkeeping team.

Helping promote and maintain good record keeping.

Maintaining high standards of course maintenance through leadership and the promotion of Standard Operating Procedures.

Assisting the management team with any administrative tasks such as Health and Safety, Training, Record keeping, Stock control, Data Collection.

The ongoing maintenance and daily operation of the irrigation system including programs, troubleshooting, repairs, audits, and record keeping.
The Senior Greenkeeper would ideally possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications:

Self-belief and confidence to lead to a team.

Excellent organisational skills

A self-motivated team player with a positive attitude to work

Knowledge and experience of managing USGA spec greens.

Competent knowledge of all machinery and cultural practices involved in turf maintenance.

Experience of using and maintaining an irrigation system or a willingness to undertake formal training.

PA1, PA2, and PA6 certificates

CS30 and CS31 certificates
-
NVQ Level 3 in Greenkeeping or NVQ Level 2 with a willingness to undertake Level 3
