About Brampton Golf Club
Designed by James Braid in 1909, our sand-based heathland course offers breathtaking views of the North Pennines and Talkin Tarn. Known for our friendly atmosphere and commitment to excellence, we provide an exceptional outdoor working environment where no two days are the same.
This role offers a diverse and rewarding workload, along with opportunities for professional development through qualifications and industry courses.
Key Responsibilities
Course Maintenance & Presentation:
✔️ Assist in the daily maintenance and presentation of the course to the highest standards
✔️ Support the club’s sustainable approach to course management, preserving our natural heathland environment
✔️ Operate and maintain greenkeeping machinery and equipment
Team Support & Collaboration:
✔️ Work closely with the Course Manager and Greenkeeping Team to deliver outstanding playing conditions
✔️ Contribute to ongoing projects, such as drainage improvements, woodland management, and heathland restoration
Health & Safety Compliance:
✔️ Follow all health and safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices at all times
✔️ Maintain accurate records for pesticide and fertiliser applications under the direction of senior staff
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Attributes:
✅ Previous experience working as part of a Greenkeeping Team
✅ A passion for maintaining high-quality playing surfaces and a strong work ethic
✅ Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly turf management practices
✅ Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (working towards Level 3 is an advantage, but not essential)
Desirable Skills:
➕ Experience working on heathland courses
➕ Familiarity with irrigation systems, machinery operation, and maintenance
PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates (or willingness to obtain them)
➕ A proactive, detail-oriented approach to work
