GROUNDS SUPERVISOR

Salary Circa £32,000 per annum

Christ’s Hospital is an independent co-educational boarding and day school set in 1200 acres of rolling countryside. The School has extensive sports facilities including cricket, rugby and football pitches; tennis and netball courts plus two synthetic pitches.  There are also large formal planted and grassed areas with large environmentally friendly areas designed to attract bees, butterflies, bats and birds. We have exciting new leisure facilities under construction at the school including a new state of the art 6 lane all weather running track with an extended activity trail, 4 padel courts and a sports pitch taking center stage in the middle of the track, all of which will be maintained by the grounds team. This is one of a kind to be installed in the country.

The successful applicant will ideally have;

– A relevant qualification in horticulture/ sports turf management or have a proven track record within the industry

– A full, clean driving license

– A good understanding of health and safety is required.

– A good level of fitness as this is a physically demanding roll

– Operate a wide range of agricultural/horticultural vehicles and equipment

– Experience of supervising a team
