Job Description
To assist in the management, maintenance and development of the Golf course and Clubhouse grounds as agreed with the Head Green Keeper and the Chair of Greens Committee
The key duties include:

Participating in the planned programme of maintenance work including greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, rough and all other areas of the golf course.

Assisting in the service and maintenance of machinery and ensuring all equipment is set up and used in an appropriate manner.

Helping to identify and control weeds, pests and turf diseases and disorders.

Keeping abreast of modern advances in materials, machinery and greenkeeping techniques.
Qualifications & Experience
Must be a good team worker, highly motivated, able to follow instructions and make decisions when necessary, and able to operate most of the equipment associated with the post.
Ideally you will have:
- Minimum SVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Sports Turf Maintenance
- A sound knowledge of greenkeeping practices
- PA 1, 2, 6A (or 6 dependant on the date of qualification) Spraying Certificates
- A good knowledge of fertilisers and infestation/preventative treatments and awareness of how they should be applied.
- Possess technical green keeping and agronomy and a keen eye for presentation and detail.
- A knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
- Able to work the Club’s flexible weekend Rota system.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Good IT skills with ability to use the Internet.
It would be an advantage to have a current first aid certificate
