•  Participating in the planned programme of maintenance work including greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, rough and all other areas of the golf course.
• Assisting in the service and maintenance of machinery and ensuring all equipment is set up and used in an appropriate manner.
• Helping to identify and control weeds, pests and turf diseases and disorders.
• Keeping abreast of modern advances in materials, machinery and greenkeeping techniques.

Qualifications & Experience

Must be a good team worker, highly motivated, able to follow instructions and make decisions when necessary, and able to operate most of the equipment associated with the post.

Ideally you will have:

• Minimum SVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Sports Turf Maintenance
• A sound knowledge of greenkeeping practices
• PA 1, 2, 6A (or 6 dependant on the date of qualification) Spraying Certificates
• A good knowledge of fertilisers and infestation/preventative treatments and awareness of how they should be applied.
• Possess technical green keeping and agronomy and a keen eye for presentation and detail.
• A knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Able to work the Club’s flexible weekend Rota system.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• Good IT skills with ability to use the Internet.

It would be an advantage to have a current first aid certificate
