An excellent opportunity has arisen at The Bradford Golf Club, for a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Greenkeeper to join our excellent existing greens team.
Our Herbert Fowler-designed Par 71 Championship Course is one of the oldest in Yorkshire. The course is a moorland links which plays host to The Hawksworth Trophy, a prestigious 36-hole medal-play competition for the leading amateur golfers in Northern England and the course continues to be used for many prestigious Yorkshire Championship events.
Reporting to the Course Manager, the successful candidate is expected to maintain the course to the highest standard in line with the Club’s Golf Course Policy and offer the willingness to continually raise the bar to exceed the expectations of our members and visitors. The Clubs’ machinery replacement and investment program enables the latest technology and tools to be engaged if appropriate.
The Club is also working with an exciting development plan which will result in some significant changes to the course. This will offer the opportunity for you to showcase your current skills and attributes as well as developing new ones.
The Role:
  • Full Time position 40 hours per week
  • Weekend work on a rota basis paid as additional overtime

The candidate should have:
  • 2 years’ Greenkeeping work experience
  • NVQ Level 2(working towards) or equivalent sports turf qualification. (Desirable but not essential)
  • PA1, PA2, & PA6 spraying certification (Desirable but not essential)
  • Competence with operation and maintenance of modern golf course machinery
  • Good communication and timekeeping skills with a flexible approach to work and working hours
  • Ability to work individually and part of a team
