Location: Kidjaberg Golf Club, 805, Selfoss, Iceland
Job Title: 1st Assistant Greenkeeper

Full time / Part time / Seasonal job: Full time from as early as possible until mid
september for the 2024 season.

For 2024 season only open for applicants within the EU

Reports to: General Manager and Head Greenkeeper

The 1st Assistant Greenkeeper is responsible for undertaking all activities related to course
maintenance, to help ensure course operations are carried out in line with the prescriptions
laid down in the Club and Head Greenkeeper strategy.

Why Kidjaberg Golf Club
Kidjaberg Golf Club is a scenic 18 hole facility located 50 minutes from Reykjavik. The Golf
Club is considered one of the best golf courses in Iceland and has been the venue for some
of the biggest tournaments in Iceland such as the 2010 Icelandic Stroke Play Championship.
Kidjaberg Golf Club is currently undergoing several ambitious projects including installation
of a new irrigation system which will revolutionise the facility and make Kidjaberg Golf Club
take further foothold as one of the top premium golf courses in Iceland.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● To assist the Head Greenkeeper in the management of the daily operation of the golf
course and related facilities. To rectify or communicate any issues or foreseen
problems promptly.
● To ensure all tasks associated with the management and maintenance of the Golf
Courses are carried out.
● Ensure maintenance tasks are carried out in line with the Golf Club standards.
Coaching and development of team members as required to ensure standards are
met.
● To assist the mechanics and help undertake minor machine maintenance. Ensuring
the team carry out and record daily pre-start checks on machinery prior to use and
maintaining effective machinery operation during use.
● Carry out fertiliser, pesticide and other product applications.
● To operate machinery and equipment as directed ensuring that they are handled
safely and as instructed.
GENERAL
● Communicate with members, visitors and other staff members in a positive, friendly
and courteous manner at all times.
● To maintain a professional standard of dress and appearance.
● To demonstrate pride in the workplace and treat machinery and club property with
respect.
● Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy work area
● To adhere to all statutory requirements regarding fire, health, safety and hygiene.
● To attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to clubs policies.
● Proactively support colleagues in delivering the club’s purpose.
● Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by the management team.
● Promote Kidjaberg Golf Club in a positive light at every opportunity.
Minimum Requirements
● 2 years Greenkeeping experience

Salary
