Burton Albion FC is looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated Lead Groundskeeper to take full responsibility for the upkeep and presentation of the club’s playing surfaces at the Pirelli Stadium and first-team training ground.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an experienced grounds professional with a strong understanding of sports turf management. You’ll lead a small team, plan and deliver all grounds maintenance activities, manage machinery and materials, and ensure surfaces are always presented to the highest professional standards – ready for both training and matchdays.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in sports turf management, ideally within a professional football or sports environment
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Sports Turf (or equivalent)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to lead a team effectively
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends as required
