Course Manager – Caldwell Golf Club
Description
Caldwell Golf Club, established in 1903, is situated 15 miles south-west of Glasgow. This premium parkland course, originally designed by former Open Champion Willie Fernie and later redesigned by 5 times Open Champion James Braid, hosts an excellent venue that is challenging for all levels of play.
We are seeking a proactive and passionate individual to join the management team at Caldwell Golf Club. The ideal candidate will have the vision and drive to enhance the playability of the course, be confident and well-versed in the game of golf, and skilled at building strong relationships.
As Course Manager, you will:

Be responsible for the management, care and presentation of the course to the expectations of our members.

Have a detailed knowledge of nutrition, disease and pest management.

Manage and monitor budgets agreed by the board.

Co-ordinate, organise and control all works on the golf course on a daily basis, including staffing tasks, use of and ordering appropriate products and materials.

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards, safe systems of work and associated procedures.

Lead and manage the Greenkeeping team, providing guidance, training and supervision.

Have extensive knowledge of modern machinery and ensure essential maintenance is carried out.

Plan and manage essential maintenance to the course, including construction projects.
Applicants will, as a minimum, be expected to demonstrate a proven track record of the following:

Experience in a management role

Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in sports turf qualification

10 years minimum experience
-
PA1, PA2, PA6 Spraying Certificates

Ability to lead, motivate and mentor others
