Aquarius Golf Club – Head Greenkeeper
Established in 1912, Aquarius Golf Club is a private 9 hole golf club close to the heart of London. Built on top and around Beechcroft reservoir in Honor Oak, it presents a unique challenge for golfers with stunning views across the London skyline. An increasing interest in playing Golf at Aquarius has seen a rapidly developing membership. The club committee is delighted to offer the opportunity for a qualified greenkeeper to lead the small greens team and enhance the golfing experience for members and their guests.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the General Manager and join a small dedicated staff team, alongside a team of volunteers. We are seeking an experienced greenkeeper to focus on maintaining and developing the course for our members and their guests.
The Candidate:
You will be qualified to NVQ Level 2 and the post is offered on a full-time or part time basis – 3 days a week. Due to the nature of the position you must be available for early starts and some weekend cover.
Remuneration:
We offer a competitive and negotiable salary (circa £32-£35k pro-rata for p/t) and benefits package commensurate with the knowledge, skills and experience of the applicant, along with opportunities for training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the presentation of the golf course, clubhouse and surrounding areas
- Supporting the General Manager to enhance the members experience on the golf course and promote sustainability
- Cutting and treatment of greens, fairways and rough using ride-on and other mowers to a high standard
- Maintaining specialised machinery used for course maintenance ensuring that all health and safety protocols are adhered to
Key Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf Maintenance

PA1 and PA2 spraying certification
